Why would you take into consideration culture when developing your artwork?

Why would you take into consideration culture when developing your artwork?

During the design process elements such as space, colour, hierarchy and type are used to create or compose designs. In design we use these elements to create the concepts. Usually based on the cultural backgrounds elements have different or similar meanings.  For example in one country red is usually affiliated with the emotion of romances and love however in another it is used to represent hate and distrust. Therefore when making designs taking culture into consideration will affect how the people will interrupt the design. Knowing the cultural background of your audience helps designers to grasp a better sense on how to use the elements in their design. Difficulties designers face before studying cultural backgrounds are making offensive designs. Or not giving the client what they want by using elements that don’t hold the same value in other cultures. Culture should always be taken into consideration when developing artwork so that the designs purpose will be achieved by using appropriate elements.
