What I learnt in boating school is... (Name at least 1 thing that you believe you have learnt in this class)

Name at least 1 thing that you believe you have learnt in this class

At the beginning of class I wasn’t sure what to expect. As the classes progressed and the additional course work began to pile one I got a more concrete sense of the course. Last year courses were more about creating and learning how use elements and develop designs. However this year was more about the theoretical / paper work factors of design. The course helped to grasp a more business orientation of design. It shows a glimpse of have design is conducted in the corporate arena. Aside from the ability to design, graphic artist have to be able to conduct themselves in their field. The topics I most appreciated form this course was teaching students how to interact within a corporation, how to represent themselves, how to conduct presentation and so on. One specific thing that learnt from this experience is the ability to conduct presentations. Presenting can be difficult however as designers it is unavoidable. Allowing us to present and critiquing our presentation made me aware of unwanted habits that I was blind too. It helped me to sharpen my skill so that presenting in an actual business arena will not be as difficult. The course made me become more confident about conducting presentations. I appreciate how the course is designed and how much time and effort our lecture put into making the classes interactive and attractive. The course has definitely taught me skills necessary for graphic artist, skills that I will definitely use in the near future.
