Blog #5 Explain unsolicited vs. solicited proposal.

#5
Explain the difference between an unsolicited and a solicited proposal.  Also explain the difference between an internal and external proposal.

Unsolicited proposal is a proposal that hasn’t been formally requested but instead presented to a client because you’re seeking business from them. Solicited proposal on the other hand is requested whether by the client and can be in written form or verbally for consideration.

Internal and external proposals differ in the client or whosoever the proposal in intended. Internal proposal is targeted towards members of the same organization, intended to make in-house decisions. External proposals therefore are aimed towards organizations outside of yours.

Proposals is the putting forward of an idea, plan, proposition or suggestion with the intention to take some kind of action.  The audience is important to having your proposal approved, whether internal or external keeping the audience in mind will shape the success of the proposal.
