Blog#9 - Emotions are for Mortals - Santano!

Coming to Earth has been an enlightening experience for me. As an unfeeling, uncaring, unbathing deity of unmatched power and sexiness, watching you mortals fumble about with your washed selves and lacklustre appeal has made me realize just how pitiful you truly are. I mean honestly, if I could feel pity that is.

Particularly, this emotional element of the human existence baffles me. Having worked at numerous business firms (Immaculate deities have to eat too), I have found it stunning (if I could feel shock that is) how easy it is to tear these human businesses and relations to shambles with simple, uncaring and unfeeling rhetoric. Ah, Bethany, your husband is in the hospital? Too bad. Get back to work. Alex, you're depressive by nature? Good, find pleasure in your work or die trying. WORK MORTALS UNTIL YOUR FINGERS BLEED AND OUR PROFITS SOAR!

Nonsensical workshops about "How to speak to your co-workers," and "emotional intelligence for the unfeeling Deity" were lost on me. What matter is it to me how the information is distributed? Mortals must know their place and know that being spoken down to by their godly janitor is par for the course!!!

Some have said that humans need to be communicated with with nuance and intelligence, so that their delicate sensibilities are not harmed. Further, they have said that humans work better when they feel they have a personal, friendly relationship with their employees and clients. But I am not their friend. I am their ruler. So what if my businesses keep failing and I keep getting fired? I am incapable of feeling or crying! Even if.. even if sometimes...

  1. I don't know what to say. I have taught this course for 5 years and this is the first time I feel compelled to share posts from my students. How many have I shared? I do not know. Santano...Santano...Santano...smh. You're going to be a great writer. You should at least start your own blog, if you haven't already.
