Blog #1 What is communication?

The amazing thing about communication is that we all do it (all living things), realizing it or not, understanding what it really is or not. It is simply the act of transmission of information between two or more individuals in order to create a common understanding. Although this is a simple definition, when we think of how we can communicate the subject becomes more complex. There are different types of communications and more than one may occur at any time. Communication includes verbal, non-verbal and electronic namely human interaction. As human beings, we use communication to: relate to others, socially connected, to greet, to attract attention, emotions, share feelings, express an opinion, agree, disagree, explain, exchange of information, questions, answers, tease, agree to negotiate, argue, manipulate, compliment, comment, protest, complain, describe, encourage, guide, provide feedback, showing humor, discuss interests, be polite, Make Friends, interest or Express disinterest, etc.
