Have you ever heard the quote from Benjamin Franklin
“If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail”? Of course you have and I think
this is a quote we all agree with and can relate. Starting a project without a
careful plan is like starting a trip without a map. You might finally get where
you're going, but you're likely to spend a lot more energy and resources going
around in circles trying to figure things out rather than journeying straight
to your destination. A detailed work plan will not necessarily eliminate ALL
problems that you might encounter during the production of a project but will
definitely afford you the opportunity to:
v Organize
your thoughts,
v Assess
and prevent potential difficulties.
v Helps
identify goals
v Offers
directions
v Uncovers
problems
v Adds
professionalism
v Gives
perspective
Great ideas involve planning. Planning is vitally
important to success
