Blog #2 What is the importance of planning before working on your artwork?

Have you ever heard the quote from Benjamin Franklin “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail”? Of course you have and I think this is a quote we all agree with and can relate. Starting a project without a careful plan is like starting a trip without a map. You might finally get where you're going, but you're likely to spend a lot more energy and resources going around in circles trying to figure things out rather than journeying straight to your destination. A detailed work plan will not necessarily eliminate ALL problems that you might encounter during the production of a project but will definitely afford you the opportunity to:
v Organize your thoughts,
v Assess and prevent potential difficulties.
v Helps identify goals
v Offers directions
v Uncovers problems
v Adds professionalism
v Gives perspective

Great ideas involve planning. Planning is vitally important to success
